Coron, Palawan

I’ve been itching to post this trip to Coron w/ my college besties. Why? Because even though I haven’t been entirely around the Philippines yet, Coron was the only place that really made it hardest to leave. Everything was just perfect! The beaches, the people I’m with, the food and the strangers that turned into friends and so much more! I’ve been to Puerto Prinsesa and El Nido but still, nothing is close to the ineffable beauty of Coron.

I cannot recall how many islands we had visited because this happened sometime last year. If I recall it correctly, it was on February 2016. The weather was perfect that time and there were a lot of people but I think they managed to control the crowd very well, because we also managed to take lots of good photos worth sharing without photobombers on the background. LOL.

5D4N and the whole 3 days was pure island hopping. FUN! On our last day, we decided to go to Mt. Tapyas. It was quite an early exercise then we had breakfast somewhere and bought pasalubong.

Destinations:

  1. Kayangan Lake
  2. Twin Lagoon
  3. Siete Pecados
  4. Smith Beach
  5. Skeleton Wreck
  6. CYC Beach
  7. Coral Garden
  8. Malcapuya Island
  9. Banana Island
  10. Bulog Dos Island
  11. Pass Island
  12. Lusong Coral Garden
  13. Lusong Gunboat

Months of preparation and I finally found the cheapest package for this trip. I was able to close a deal with Coron Avenue Travel & Tours for only P5,800 per person for us 4 which was already inclusive of the the following.

  • 5D4N accommodation w/ breakfasts
  • Roundtrip airport van transfers
  • 3 days of island hopping tour w/ lunch
  • Boatman services and life vests
  • Entrance and cottage fees
  • Transfers from hotel-pier-hotel

If there is a place in the Philippines that I would recommend to friends or even travelers I meet on social media, Coron is definitely the one that will never fail to give the WOW factor that most people are looking for. So, what are you waiting for? 🙂
